Structured Cat6 & Cat6A Cabling
Data and PoE cabling installed to standard, in tidy routes with room to grow, so the next camera or reader does not mean a new cable run.
ACMA-certified Cat6, Cat6A, and single/multimode fibre optic cabling solutions for Perth commercial, industrial, and high-density residential developments.
Modern security cameras, access control systems, and enterprise networks demand flawless data bandwidth and absolute reliability. WA Central Security's licensed open cablers design, install, and certify high-speed structured network backbones—from server rack patch panel builds to long-range fusion-spliced fibre links between buildings.
Complete structured data cabling and optical transmission systems, fully compliant with Australian Standards AS/NZS 3080, AS/NZS 3000, and ACMA telecommunications rules.
Data and PoE cabling installed to standard, in tidy routes with room to grow, so the next camera or reader does not mean a new cable run.
Fibre between buildings and floors where copper will not reach, terminated, spliced and tested by the people who installed it.
Every run tested and labelled at both ends with results handed over, so future work is a lookup rather than an investigation.
From commercial office fitouts and warehouse Wi-Fi access point grids to inter-building campus fibre links and new residential developments, our infrastructure is built to support modern high-throughput demands.
Cabling designed in with the rest of the fitout.
Cabling run before the walls are closed.
Backbone cabling between floors and buildings.
Cabling that survives the environment it lives in.
We design and install high-density structured cabling and optical links with military neatness, rigorous labelling, and comprehensive Fluke certification.
We audit server rooms, pathway capacities, cable tray routes, and inter-building conduits to plan optimal copper and fibre topology.
Our ACMA-licensed cablers pull LSZH/UV-rated data cables through dedicated conduits, cable baskets, and ceiling spaces strictly adhering to bend radii.
We terminate Cat6A patch panels with colour-coded patch leads and perform precision core-alignment fusion splicing inside rack-mounted fibre enclosures.
Every port and fibre core is Fluke-tested for attenuation, return loss, and NEXT; we provide laminated rack schedules and digital test results.
Fluke-Tested Cat6A & Fibre Optic Certification

While standard Cat6 supports 1 Gigabit speeds up to 100 metres (and 10Gbps only up to 37-55 metres), Cat6A (Augmented) operates at 500 MHz and guarantees full 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GBASE-T) transmission over the entire 100-metre distance. Cat6A features thicker insulation and individual pair shielding, which virtually eliminates alien crosstalk in high-density bundles—making it the essential standard for modern 4K CCTV systems, PoE switches, and high-performance commercial networks.
Under Australian Standards AS/NZS 3080, copper Ethernet cabling has a strict maximum channel distance limit of 100 metres (including patch leads). If you need to connect separate buildings (such as a farmhouse to a shed, or multiple warehouse units across a commercial lot), or run vertical backbones across multiple building floors, optical fibre is required. Fibre optic links can transmit data over tens of kilometres, provide total immunity to electromagnetic interference and power surges, and protect against lightning damage between buildings.
In Australia, all telecommunications and network data cabling must legally be performed by registered cablers. WA Central Security technicians hold current Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) Open Cabler registrations with specialised endorsements for Structured Cabling (Cat6/Cat6A), Optical Fibre Splicing, and Coaxial Cabling.
Yes. We test 100% of newly installed data cables using calibrated Fluke DSX CableAnalyzers. We perform full channel certification testing for wiremap integrity, length, propagation delay, insertion loss, return loss, and near-end crosstalk (NEXT). Upon completion, clients receive formal digital PDF Fluke test reports verifying that every single port passes Australian Standards.
Yes. Comms cabinet cleanups are one of our core specialties. We trace unknown cable runs, remove redundant 3-metre spaghetti patch leads, install horizontal cable managers, and re-patch switches with tidy, colour-coded, slimline patch cords. We document and label every port so your IT team can easily manage the rack going forward.
Yes. Our high-grade Cat6 and Cat6A solid bare copper cabling supports the full suite of PoE standards: 802.3af (PoE up to 15.4W), 802.3at (PoE+ up to 30W), and 802.3bt (PoE++ Type 3 and Type 4 up to 60W-90W). This allows you to power high-draw PTZ cameras with built-in heaters, access control door hubs, and Wi-Fi 6/7 access points directly over a single Ethernet cable with zero need for separate 240V power outlets.
We back our cabling with a lifetime guarantee on installation workmanship. For full end-to-end certified installations using our partner manufacturer hardware (such as Clipsal, CommScope, or Molex), we can provide 20 to 25-year manufacturer system performance warranties.
